The politics of envy?

Mitt Romney thinks that discussion of income inequality, with the commensurate inequality in political power, is invoking the politics of envy. In my estimation, this is about as accurate as most of Mr. Romney's statements: not very.

Let me get this straight: I'm supposed to be jealous of a bunch of Wall Street folks who committed securities fraud on a massive scale? I'm supposed to upset that I didn't get the opportunity to commit crimes? Pardon me, but no thanks.

A Quiet Room

Mitt Romney thinks that issues regarding inequality of income/political power in this country should only be discussed in quiet rooms. Frankly, I don't agree with that, but, in deference to Mr. Romney's feelings, I thought it appropriate to create a quiet room for the discussion of those issues.

Of course the sound proofing's pretty good in here . . .
